Nearly three years ago, I announced everywhere that I’m writing my first book about the costs women face. Nearly three years later, the upcoming book, appropriately titled The Double Tax, could not be more on time.

Cover of The Double Tax

Out everywhere on September 16th, The Double Tax is a three-year journey of conversations with hundreds of women across the country, lots and lots of research, and deep reflections of the experiences of women in my life. The book is ushered in by none other than Chelsea Clinton — first daughter of President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, professor, mother, wife, and my dear friend.

Throughout the book, we will tackle the costs women face across beauty, career, motherhood, homeownership, retirement, and more. We will look at why the bills women face run higher for women of color, and dig into ways to close the gaps for good.

With that said, I hope you will support this book by pre-ordering and joining our community. We want to create a movement and that will require all hands on deck so please consider signing up to host an event or book club, attend a launch event, feature the book, or receive an early copy.

This book is not just for women, but for anyone and everyone who believes that all women deserve to be fully human. Knowing the costs, addressing them in full, and charting a path forward is how we move towards progress. I hope you join us. See you soon!
